Visiting Smithbrook Kilns

Speckled Dog Studio is based at Smithbrook Kilns, a unique collection of independent businesses just outside Cranleigh on the A281 between Guildford and Horsham.

The site was once home to the historic Smithbrook brickworks. In the early 1980s, the derelict buildings began to be carefully restored and rebuilt, creating a space for small and independent businesses to work and grow.

Today more than forty different businesses are based here, from crafts and creative studios to specialist workshops and retail spaces.

It is a lovely place to visit, with a relaxed rural setting and plenty to explore.

If you are coming along to a class or workshop, you might also like to stop by Cafe Bricks, which is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 3.30pm. It is a great spot for coffee, cake or a light lunch before or after your visit.
